Bentota is a town of Sri Lanka overlooking the river Bentota to its south. The word Bentota is given to this area from a classic fables story where Bem, a demon ruled over the river bank which is called as tota. Bentota is also one of the major tourist attractions in Sri Lanka, Bentota is also world-famous for Ayurveda Salva, resorts, alcoholic coconut drinks and toddy.
