Madikeri is a city located in the district of Kodagu of Karnataka, India. The city which was also known as Muddu Raja Keri is named after King Mudduraja who ruled over the area for around 54 years. When the British took over Madikeri it was called as Mercara. The city is a popular hill station and is known for its best quality coffee beans.
