Ella is a small town located in the Badulla District of Srilanka. It is surrounded by forests, hills, and tea plantations. Two places of Ramayana times are linked to this place Ravana Ella Falls & Ravana Caves. Ravana waterfall is one of the widest waterfalls in Srilanka and falls from a height of 25 metres. It is believed that the waterfall was used by Devi Sita for a bath when Ravana kidnapped her. Ravana caves are situated behind the Ravana waterfall and it was the place where Ravana hides Devi Sita. The place is surrounded by natural beauty and attracts a lot of devotees and tourists from all over the world
