The municipality of Beni is situated in Nepal’s Myagdi District. The region was established in the year 2014 by merging six village committees. Beni which means “where two rivers meet” was given to the city as it located at the merging point of rivers Myagdi and Kali Gandaki. Beni was an important trade route between China and Nepal.
