Morbi or Morvi is a town in the Indian state of Gujrat. It lies on the banks of the river of western India called Machhu or Machchhu. The area of Morbi accommodates a population of 194,947 and the people here speak Hindi and Gujarati. During the rule of Britishers, Morvi was a princely state which was ruled by the Jadeja’s of the Rajput clan. From the years 1922-1948 when the city was under Sir Lakhdhiraji Waghji, Morbi’s architecture was planned which led to its rich heritage. Today Morbi is a renowned producer of ceramics The Morbi Mani Mandir, a symbol of love is the highlight of the town.
