Gaur also called Gaur Nagarpalika is a municipality situated in the southern part of Nepal. It falls in the Narayani Zone of the country in a district called Rautahat. Gaur has a very small area and the people here speak Bhojpuri, Bajjika, Maithili and Nepali. Being “Clean and Green” is the motto of the locals who reside here. The city shares its border with India and is known for its cricket ground and parks namely, Sonarna Mai Park, Purenwa Park and Baneshwor Mela Park.
