Nalsarovar or the Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary is located near a village called Sanand in Gujrat, India. In the year 1969 Nalsarovar was officially regarded as the bird sanctuary and today it stands as the largest wetland Bird sanctuary in India. The word Nal Sarovar means Tap Lake referring to the lake that it houses which attracts millions of birds of about 210 species from all over the world. These birds are herons, white storks, rosy pelicans, flamingoes, pelicans among many others. Apart from walking and watching the birds, one can also hop on to the horses and boats to get a clear view of the migrators.
